Pigmentation
A pigmented lesion is from a various reason as medicine side effect as birth control pills, obesity medications, Hormonal changes, sun damages, cosmetic side effect and aging process.
The treatment of pigmentation has been superficial pigments and deep dermal pigments. Some of pigmentation has been spread out in superficial and dermal skin layers.

Ablative laser treatment.
CO2 laser (ZenPro), Er:YAG Laser (Fouri), Nd:YAG Laser (Iris series) are the representative laser devices for the superficial pigmentation and mole, lentigo and freckles. This ablative laser has the characteristic with higher water absorption. Around 70% of skin composition is water. So, these 10600 nm (CO2, ZenPro), 2940nm (Er:YAG, Fouri) , and 532nm (Iris, Picore series) lasers give micro-sized skin damage. With this laser characteristic, it gives skin tissue resurfacing against superficial pigments.

Combination treatments
Significant pigmented lesion which has spread out superficial and dermal skin layer as below can be effectively treated with high quality laser combination treatments as 2940nm Er:YAG, 10600nm CO2, 532nm Nd:YAG and 1064nm Nd:YAG lasers.

Non-Ablative Laser Treatments
Nd:YAG Laser which is 1064nm can be reached to deep dermal without skin damage and it has photothermal effects (photothermolysis) to break pigment particles with less or no damage surrounding tissues. For safe treatment, it uses lower energy and higher repetition with multiple sessions.
