Acne Scars
Acne scars have three kind depends on the size and depth as Icepick, round and box scar. Two kinds of ablative lasers are needed depending on the size and depth as 2940nm Er:YAG laser and 10600 CO₂ Laser. Especially, round scar needs a Subcision treatment which is a procedure to releases scars from the stuck hardened fibrosis at the deeper tissues and bound down
Trauma Scars
Trauma scars are from significant injury to the skin. It needs long term treatment at least 2~3 years at every 6 ~8 weeks with ablative laser treatment with fibrotic tissue replacements and skin scaling. The new skin tissue comes up little by little like a micrometer. The trauma scar has been recognized due to the shadow from a light. Reducing the scar shadow is one of good ways for a scar treatment.
Surgery Scars.
At the post healing from a surgery, this scar appears from a chaotic wound healing response from the significant surgery as above trauma scars. Fractional laser resurfacing with 2940nm Er:YAG and 10600 CO₂ have been proven to effectively treat uneven texture, thickness and color of such hypertrophic surgery scars.
